i've searched and looked through tons and tons of pics. what i'm looking for are basically pictures of model A's (especially, or more specifically coupes) in mostly stock form-fenders, etc. but lowered. i'm interested specifically in coupes that appear basically bone stock, with wire wheels, fenders, etc. etc., just "slammed" thanks in advance for any pics or info.
Slamming would likely include a dropped axle up front and reversed eye spring, a T reversed eye spring out back, 16" wheels, and, uh, it's been done, and done, and done. Sorry no pics though.
yes. it has been done. but in the world of "must" rip the fenders off, pull the hood sides, channel, chop, etc., etc. it's harder to find a pic of an honest low "stock" A than you think.
Recently there were pictures here of a Model A with full-fenders etc. even mechanical brakes with a dropped axle etc. I think it was a coupe but hell, it may have been a roadster. The front brake operating rod housings were modified to move up above the perch mounts for correct function and alignment with the backing plates.
HAMBer Elrod's coupe is fendered, banger powered, lowered, chopped, model B grilled, and lastly has mechaical brakes still. I am pretty sure of all the details.-Weeks http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/member.php?u=821
Here's the post that Jason(Elrod) made about lowering his car! (And you even commented on it!!HAHA) His car is own of my all time favorite Model A's. Very cool car and very well thought out and sounds killer too! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=332870
