So I've been lurking for quite so time and though i finally had something worth posting:

After weeks of searching and researching a ton of various components, steering linkages, friction shocks and the like construction Of my daughters Pedal car has begun. I'm Gonna do my best to make a scaled down version of a t-bucket roadster with transverse front and rear leaf springs and Old school Adjustable friction shocks.

Today i got out there and started the piecing parts together and lining them up to be tacked in place.

So i got the frame squared up, and then welded everything down.

Any guess what Piece that is the start of?

Got a little more rough work done, Not squared up yet and again everything is just tacked enough to hold shape. And the rails are 14" apart in the rear.
Oh and sorry for the ****ty pics all i had was my phone.

Ground down and cleaned up the welds. Some shots to get the idea and it helps me with lining up the hairpin mounds. and the leaf spring mounts on the front and rear.

One of my reasons for doing this is to get a idea of what i'm gonna need if and when ever i have the knowledge, ability, facility and equipment to build my own 30's coupe. I'm using this as a learning experience.

After this is done i'm gonna build up a dune buggy go-cart for myself built with the same theme, Probably with a snowblower engine or maybe a small dirtbike motor. [IMG]

I built 2 electric pedal cars for my Gran daughter. She loved them. At 1 year old she learned to drive a car. Great build so far keep us updated.

Looks go so far but don't make it to heavy that she has a tough time peddling it. :D

First its gonna be a wagon, was gonna use a radio fly body, but they seem to be hard to come by.

My daughter is 10 months old. :D

But i wanna try to make it so i can eventually hook up a 25cc motor, But if do it right with the pedal drive i should be able to swap it easily...or so thats the idea.

there was a killer little T bucket at the NSRA Nats North this fall. Well detailed, and gas powered. Radio and all. There is a photo of it in the StreetScene coverage of the show.

it made me wanna build something for my daughter.

Looks good. Gives me some ideas for my granddaughter. Years ago we used a electric trolling motor on a gocart for a friends kids. They have forward and reverse on them and lots of torque.

Oh yeah, you're gonna have fun pulling that around and lifting it in and out of the SUV when you take it to car events for your daughter to ride in. :D

That thing was killer! 23hp Briggs 5sp w/reverse chrome and polished everything and even a 200w Kenwood stereo system. My daughters both had to have thier picture taken by it (4 & 6). I was even thinking of starting one myself for the girls but decided i should probably finish my tudor first.

Nice heavy duty cart. Go cart type stuff are really cool, but make them safe for kids. Most kids do not always understand how fast one can go when you push on the gas pedal compared to foot pedals. Factor in easy stopping, even a kill switch. Most of all cover the chain and any moving or hot parts. Heard of a young girl getting her hair caught by the chain and causing major injury to her. Have fun, be safe.

Got a little more done: Made a mini leaf spring, seems to work. Maybe a little to stiff. Also got the front spindles started.
