the stock rear suspension is links and coils...

can i just add my bag mounts and roll with it? or is that actually a horrible idea and i should do all new from scratch link setup?

i'll hafta pull the coils and stuff the suspension up and see what binds...my main concern was mainly...

IF i'll lay out like i want with the stock links would they be ok to run with bags?

yea definately figured a notch would be mandatory...found a pic of a catalina layed out and their trunk wasnt cut so looks like i should be able to fit the required notch under the sheetmetal which is was i was hoping

also what bags would you guys recommend?

as for the front im planning on modifying the lower a arms to hold my bags (like im doin in my 51), not gonna clip it or anything. not a huge fan of clips, always liked the ones that get low with factory

Tire size is also a factor the wws on the gold car look kinda big. I ran a 14 inch tire on mine 195-75-14 and it layed out. I guess I never thought about runnin a bigger tire.

yea i was thinkin of steppin up to 15s when i order wheels but there's a billion tire sizes so i shouldnt have to run huge tires.

you had a bagged bonneville? pics? how did you set your suspension up on it?

yea and they're cheap! although it'll be a little taller than the 195/75r14...

but when it all comes down to it i got no problem notching the frame if needed...just dont want to cut the trunk.
