What ho chaps from rainy old England! The sky is primer grey, it's raining antifreeze, which is lucky as it is damned cold here. I have just chucked another log and another pint of old engine oil in the stove. The corrugated iron roof is drumming so loud from the rain my eyeballs are wobbling. I should be christmas shopping or sipping mulled wine in a warm house, but the workshop calls for attention on a daily basis like a hot troublesome woman you know is gonna cause you pain, but you just cant resist... I am lucky enough to spend my time helping other folk build their rides. There is no money in it, but there is more to life than that. I used to be an R + D engineer in the British army, now I just build Uk style rods and help others with lots of other builds. We dont have as many V8s hanging around as you guys, or as much in the way of beautiful old metal, but in our own (mostly on a shoestring budget!) little way we rod too. I hope you big boys dont kick the little Brit out of the playground straight away! I am no expert on US engines, but I know my stuff with most Brit stuff, so I hope I can learn and maybe also pass a bit on to anyone messing with little bits of Brit iron. Thanks for listening mark
welcome mark.this is a great place to go if you dont mind spending countless hours on the computer.just watch out.the hamb can be VERY ADDICTIVE!!!
Addictive is definitely the word I would choose to describe it as well. I enjoyed your intro as well dreamshack, that's one of the better ones I have read in a while. I think you will fit right in. Welcome home.
Hi Mark, good to see another 'Brit' signing up. As American Opel and DirtyJohn said, be careful......it's addictive here at the Hamb! It's a good excuse to avoid a freezing garage!
Hi Mark, and welcome. Enjoyed the intro. It's cold and raining here in our northwest too, so I'm in here at the computer for a while just to thaw out.
Hey Mark, Welcome from SUNNY California... not that I'm rubbing it in! It does rain once or twice a year around here.
