I uncovered an offy 4bbl dual plane intake for a SBF (289, 302, ect). told it came of a shelby. doubt it, but who knows. no shelby markings, just offy , dual plane and 360. it is aluminum and has a divider in the runners where it meets the head. I know it is at least 30 yrs old. any idea of application, date, value?
I bought one of those on here for $100 last summer. can still get them new also. edit.... not sure what you mean by dividers in the ports by head though, could be different than what i got
when looking at the head matting side (end of runners) , instead of being an open area, there is a divider in there so 2 squares appear in each runner.
That is offy's idea to promote low end air flow, they worked to some extent but never really caught on."They were used by Shelby",is always a way to get more for a part, like every sbc is a "vette"engine.Roy.
Offenhauser Dual Port, I paid $100 for SBF one last year for a gas mileage project, I figure that's about top dollar for one. Here is a post Dan did about them a while back: Offenhauser Dual Port vs. Dual Plane Manifolds Gus
