Thank you so much guys!!! :)

I'm Very happy to work on this car!!! The profile is killer, the stance is killer, The first Mercury i get to see and explore up close..... *****in'!!!

The thing that's hard about this job though is the fact that it was chopped A LOOOOONNNNNNNG time ago and the stock inner structure pieces are long gone, Lost, so everything has to be fabricated! Which is cool too, but time consuming!

Maybe i'll get to try my paint gun on the lower half of the body!!! :)

I'm thinking Burnt orange or.......any suggestions????:)

    Much love and Thank you!!!

Looking good Ian, you moving on up my man!!! When referring to ever chopping a 40 Ford I will note that the reason that guys love the 49-50 Mercs right out of the box is that the shape was very similar to the earlier customs like 40 Fords. I am pretty sure this is why Sam Barris was able to buy brand new and cut the top off right away. I am sure you could handle a 40 Ford because you can visualize what it supposed to look like and have learn the trade to execute it. I wouldn't be to intimidated by if I were you....now if it were me, it should be a crime that I even own a Sawzall and cutoff wheel!!!

As far as color goes, I like the sounds of burnt orange. I have been thinking about sandy colors lately, sandy green, sandy gold etc. Subtle colors but cool none the less.

    Keep it up Ian!

Tell Big Eddie that I said he has to upgrade the beer in his trunk. The Merc deserves better than Budweiser now.

    Lookin' good.

That's going to take some getting used to. Hopefully the label in the front window will remain. It's the only way I'll know it's eddie's car.

    And BTW, It looks great.

The thing with metal is that all manner of ****-uppery can be fixed, years from now someone will redo my work and curse my name.

Eddie's Merc has been coming around slowly for a while now. It's about time the roof got some attention. Your door fixins look pretty good,Ian. Are you gonna smooth out the roof too?

Sweet clean up work Ian, really makes a difference. Are you going to round the lower rear corners of the quarter windows?
