Anyone know anything about this sweet sectioned 39 Ford? Love the picture of it and I think I found it on here.
There is another photo of it in the Ron Kellogg article in the new TRJ issue (TRJ Issue #46). This is the text that goes with it: "Gene Dennett’s red ’40 Ford coupe as it sat outside the Western Motel—a car he regularly raced at the Toledo, Washington airport drags as a member of the Lewis County Quarter Milers car club."

The confusing thing about the car is the early replacement 39 DeLuxe grille that it is wearing. The aftermarket replacement grilles were all chrome plated stamped steel rather than a body color shell with stainless mouldings on each bar.
