What's your problem? The Mopar "B" engines began life as a 350 ci. Isn't a little knowledge amazing? https://www.allpar.com/mopar/b-engines.html
They're missin' some cool engines... Would be cool to see a chart for all V8's from day 1 up until today.. same for Straight 6's, maybe V6's, 4 cylinders, and then like an other category for V10's, V12's, straight 8's etc.. Would be alot of research work but it would be a great resource..
I've been researching motors for my project ("A" on Deuce rails, stock wheelbase). I'm leaning toward a 289/302 even though it's technically not exactly traditional and happened across this very helpful website today. According to that site, the length of a 302 is listed as 27.0". Does anyone know if that measurement was with a standard water pump? This may be old news to y'all, but I just found out Ford has a short water pump that's 1.5" shorter than stock (link to Summit Racing). That would put a 302 at 25.5" overall length according to that site. Or could that 27" measurement include the shorter pump (I doubt it). Thanks, Tommy
