  5. My condolences to and prayers for Stovebolt's family. Didn't know him personally but knew him as a regular on the HAMB. He was always willing to share his knowledge and experience to help others. It hurts to lose a good guy to a drunk driver. A drunk driver came real close to killing my wife and two of my daughters down in Virginia at Thanksgiving of 1990.

In 2003 when we lived in Baltimore, a drunk driver ran a red light and hit two little girls, the mother of one of the little girls who was holding a toddler, and a school crossing guard on Moravia Road just around the corner from where we lived. It killed one of the little girls, a 7 year old, instantly. The other little girl, about the same age, had a broken leg. The mother of the girl who was killed and the toddler she was holding, and the crossing guard received lesser injuries. The drunk driver kept going. A witness gave chase, followed the drunk home, and stayed until police arrived. The toboggan cap that the dead child was wearing was stuck in the grille of the woman's car. It was her 8th DUI. She had already lost her license and was driving drunk with no license. She is serving a lengthy prison sentence, convicted under vehicular homicide and habitual offender statutes.

All positive thoughts to the Bridges' Family and friends.....it's the same old story, good guy gets taken out by a bad guy, who keeps gettin let out and repeats his ways....My wife was in a head-on a few years ago , fortunately she's fine but the car was totaled and the other driver just "disappeared" from the hospital.....no license, no registration, no insurance....and is probably still out there driving. The thing is, none of us knows how long our string is..... so live each day well.

It is horrible to hear of a young man cut down in his prime by an idiot driver.

My thoughts and prayers are with his soul and his family.

Very sorry to hear...my thoughts and prayers go out to his family. I know it's almost inevitable, but becareful guys, watch out for those drunk drivers. Try to stay off the roads around the holidays such as new years.

Wow. All of this for my father?

I can't even begin to tell you how I feel.

It was just earlier today I was at my office and I typed my church into Google, and his picture came up.. He was a member of my church also as well as his memorial was there.

And then I typed his name into Google to see what the results were and Garage Journal came up.. I got on there right away to thank them..

And just now, I decide to search on here and sure enough there's a bulletin about him!

This is truly one big family.

This really helps my confidence a lot! My family and I are doing all right.. I can't say I'm completely fine with my dad's death. But.. We're just surviving this day to day, and it still isn't any easier. It's been hard on us emotionally and mentally, especially my mom.

It blows my mind how much you guys, as well as them on Garage Journal, care about my family.

From the bottom of my heart.. I thank you guys, tremendously.

    Ryan..

I don't know where to start.. But the Boss-man of the HAMB is talking about my own father? You knew my dad as well?

I feel really honored. I hope one day to meet you and shake your hand and really thank you for bring this to everyone's attention.

I never expected him to get this kind of attention on such a huge community as the HAMB.
