portland voodoo donut run december 6th

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by ironandsteele, Nov 30, 2009.

  1. We are in for the run to Billetproof. Missed it last year, but not going to happen this year! There could possibly be 5 in our group.

That is cool! Kinda like a Red Bug with a 5th wheel? Makes the T look like a SUV. Bring it!

Well the Belvedere is a '63 and I think I might have to trailer it to Chehalis. That's alittle too far for a 13-1 solid lifter SS motor. I will however unload outside of town and roll in uncorked and screamin'. Just hope we don't have a FC race that weekend.

    [IMG]Mondo ,ErikB,

Yeah the Motor-wheel is a hand built replica that Melissa, I and Clayton built and modified over the last few years. I'll bring on the 3rd.

Glad I made it up there for the donut run even though Walt had to stay home. (uh...walt's my car's name by the way.) I think I'm going to have to miss the next one though, rumor has it I have to work. Hopefully I'll get the car back on the road and up there for the one in Feb.

Hey Tiki...How you doing? The Belve will be a hit!! They Love Traditional early to mid-sixty Comp cars...and everyone loves when they fire'em up for the crowd!! Anyone seen "The Frantic Rat"? He's a friend of mine...1937 Chevy G***er, when he fires that SOB up for the crowd, everyone flocks over to take in the High Octane!! Alot of the HighComp cars were unloaded at the Hotel...then wedged in between the pack on the way to the grounds to minimize the 'attention';)...

    Keep it Greasy!!

Hey Mondo. Sorry I missed the VooDoo run but Florida was more important ya know. Should be up for the Jan get together. Will even have my daughter from Florida with. Hopefully will have the Jungle Jim car ready for the February get together. That might be a warmup for the Winternats.
Man I wish May would get here. No racin' is killin' me.

    Gary...

Yeah...I wondered about those things...or was it the Smittys? Either way that vid you sent...they were loud...I dig my Flowmasters...at 4:30am the neighbors hear it...but only for a bit until I kick down the idle...then I 'burbble' my way out of the hood...

    Hope to see you January!!

    Tiki...

I can't wait to see 'Jungle Jim'!!! Hell Yeah!!! Winternats...you must be chomp'n at the bit to get back behind the wheel!

    Jake...

I'll see if Rob can bring the "Frantic Rat" out for our next meet...he lives pretty close to Voodoo...It's streetable...if the headlights are attached?

Yea, but I really dig the old school sound of these steel packs...I just didn't get the right length. Got the heater workin, so I'll be up there on the 3rd. We can have a bark off.

Have you ridden the Hot Rod Triumph lately? Rode mine to work on monday...nearly froze my nads off.

It was sure a cold one that day...It was my first time out with my 50' Buick. I'm planning on lowering it a bit but thats all. Other then that its completely original with 28k miles!! See you all Jan 3rd. (if its not pouring)

Yeah, I have a new rear I need mounted, so the riding has been on and off...Last year I rode clear up to December 17th...everday, no matter the weather...then that storm hit us during Christmas, well...I'm not the '******** Motorcycle' guy I was this time last year...I'm giving it a rest until February...36 miles, 65mph, 4:30am, 30 +/- degrees...****S!!

I may ride to Voodoo and have Kerrie drive the Heavy?

    Keep it Greasy...

Hey... so we made it out. It was cool to see so many cars! We were thinking of having a H.A.M.B. and Eggs B-fast at the round-up this year. Would you guys be into that? And if so would it be better to do it on Sunday morning, once everyone is waking up... or on Saturday when everyone is getting there? Give me your input!

The Rose City Round-Up. It happens the 3rd week of June every year. This will be our 3rd year hosting it. We choose a charity each year to help, the first year was the Lukemia and Lympoma society of Portland, the Second year was the Oregon Food Bank. This year we are doing the food bank again... there are still a lot of families in need. For more info you can check out rosecityroundup.net. Its a ton of fun... last year we had 14 bands over 250 cars, and close to 40 vendors. You should come out!

But back to the original question... what do you think of doing a special breakfast for the H.A.M.B. members?
