My family is headed for Orlando Friday for a week to do the Disney thing and get out of the cold. Is there anything going on there like shows, cruises, ect. that would be worth a look? Thanks!
Ya ur just a few minutes drive from "Oldtown" Biggest meet of old hotods on a weekly basis every saturday night with live music. they have a bunch of little shops and arcades for the kids. Nice place to go for a night out.
Like Obsessed said, the Old Town show in Kissimmee is worth seeing. Its on 192 a tad east of I-4. The show is usually pretty big, I think the show on the 19th is supposed to be really large. Around 8:30 they take the cars and cruise them through the small town square there, kinda cool. Mostly O/T muscle cars, but there are some rods that show up.
Bout 20 minutes west of the mouse house, the kids will love all the stuff geared toward them. http://www.fantasyofflight.com/
Don't forget that Northbound Turnpike is closed from 27 to 50....that means that all Northbound traffic will be borrowing one of your southbound lanes to get back to yankeeville. In other words EXPECT DELAYS!!!
Definitely Old Town in Kissimmee, the pre-74 classic car Cruise Nite is saturday nights and starts at 8:30pm. I'll be down there with some family, eating dinner at the A&W restaurant there around 7pm then catching the cruise. Swing by and say hi!!
Just found this link in another Florida HAMBer post, wow... http://flacarshows.com You can search events by days of the week, that's cool!!
Thanks for all the great info, I will put those things on my list. 16 hours and we will be on the plane away from the snow and cold!
