  1. I'll bet the '36 will look much better (complete) with some solid hood sides. Mock one up out of cardboard and compare.

There are some of us who do appraisals, and understand cars like this - cuz we own 'em!! I Know I am a few states away, but if I can help let me know. Great score!! Tim :)

While everything in the world is for sale, I didn't put it on Ebay to sell it actually. There's no shortage of people like me that want to own a car like this if I wanted to unload it. I don't need Ebay for that.

However, I do need the national audience. I'm looking for more exposure in hopes of finding the history of the car before it's lost forever. I've run out of leads locally (everyone I was given has passed away) and I'm hoping somebody somewhere knows more about it. It was far too nice of a car for the era not to be shown somewhere. SOMEBODY has to know the history of it. The reward for info is the same on Ebay as it is here on the HAMB. I have cash in hand for anyone who can tell me who built this thing. I sincerely don't want the history to be lost on this car. I'm also planning to take it for it's first spin in 42 years on Tuesday.

"Doors have been extended about six inches when the top was chopped."

Really? Those look like stock width 5W doors to me.

So is it really for sale, or did you just list it with a rediculous reserve just to get info on it?
Not to be a dick, but it's pretty shitty if your flipping it already after bragging that the old lady that had it kept her word and didn't sell it to any of the others who offered her more for it!

It sucks but two days after I bought it and tapped us out financially, my wife told me that she's pregnant. Three days after that Lilly announced they were slashing 5500 jobs in December which will very likely include hers and all of our benefits. I own two things of real value right now, this car and my house. That makes the decision a little less hard. And yes, I'm taking care of the people who made this sale to me possible.

I'm hoping it ends up here in the HAMB family.

i hope it ends up with a HAMBer. i would love to hear the rest of the history as it comes out, and see it back on the road. something about this car really fires me up. seems like a reasonable price...if times were different. anyway, sorry you have to sell it, and i hope it ends up in good hands.

I would have waited to see for sure if the wife was getting laid-off before parting with such a cool car. Too bad. At least you'll make money on the deal huh?

Man I really like this thing, I would have a real hard time getting rid of it.
