I think that frame might be to big for a model A...........

  3. i would sell or trade the 34 frame and get a 1932 ford frame, it would look a lot prettier than the 34 frame.

  4. or even trade for a stock roller model a frame

  5. Your looking at a lot of work. The wheel base is 114" and that is eight inches more than the commonly used 32 rails 11" more than a stock Model A.

That said, the side rails have potential if you are thinking fenderless highboy. They will need to be bobbed at both ends, shortened, and re-contoured to follow the Model A body line.

Side rails are six inches high. Not the best choice for a channeled car.

The center X-member also has potential, particularly if you are using an early Ford transmission (39 style) and closed (torque tube) drive line.

The front and rear cross members will most likely have to be replaced.

Here is a link to a 33/34 Ford frame drawing with dimensions:

just get me some 32 rails and we will build a ch***is at your place!!! i will teach you how to weld!!!!

  10. I have a 34 five window. And I'm thinking the frame would be to long and to wide. So I would think you would cut and chop it down to make it look halfway decent. Probably be ahead of the game starting with some tubing and make a model a type frame. my .02 cents

  13. Don't fall into the "it's cheep so I'll make it work" hole. Use the right parts or all you'll have is a butchered up mess.

Yeah, if it's a good solid not hacked on 34 frame, I can use it for my 34 sedan. I'd trade ya set of ASC 32 rails for it. Lemme know if interested.

  15. It can be done and yes it can look good. PM Halfdone as he owned the old Ross Roberts '31 roadster (below) and maybe able to help.
