My new project. Show me 'A' coupe ideas!

Well, I picked up the car this weekend. Loaded the body, all the fenders, running boards, splash aprons, hood, extra w/s frame, grill shell and a bunch of loose parts into the back of the dually. Got almost done when the guy says, "Oh, I was raking leaves yesterday and found the frame rails if you want them"! So I got those to have something to start with now. Even cut off in the back already for me to 'Z' them! Now, who has got some suspension pieces or ideas that they want to dump?

 

This is my A coupe.

 

Wowcars, your body has the teardrop indentation on the firewall for the gas shut off, so it is a late 1931. They make replacements for the rear panel.

 

Here's a couple of mine... 31 chopped and channeled four inches...and a huge frame Z

 

Wowcars, is that one of those experimental Ford Model A jet engined 5 window coupes?

Here's mine taken early this past summer... Channeled 6", 413 Mopar, Pushbutton Torqueflite, old 9". Will be chopped soon. Motor and chassis are now finished in paint. Should be going shortly after finishing floor structure. (See my post on "coonecting floors).

I don't recall who this one belongs to, but it sure is baaaad.

If anyone is still reading this far, this is my dad's 31. he bought it in 62. He is redoing it now the way he always wanted to. It has a full race late merc flathead. It will be painted eventually, we can't decide candy red or black. The frame and engine are Ford red, so I think it would be too much red. The interior is all red right now, but when funds allow it's gonna be red and white tuck and roll. It has a magnesium case halibrand quickchange, 50 pontiac lights, and bobbed fenders in the back. I think it needs custom made nerf bars.

 

Gosh, it looks done to me!

 

Yup its pretty done to me too..... nice cars, keep em coming I might need to save this post some good inspiration here.

 

Oh yeah, Bro... That's me. What's happenin' DP? Haven't seen you since the Alter Boys. Will be all over the place in the coupe come spring. Will swing down to Peabody and screech 'em down to the Cabaret.
