Hey All, My friend told me 'bout this site. I am from Texas, been around old cars all my life. My daily driver is a 68 Chevy PU work in progress though. Ever since I have been driving I have had an old car. I am getting ready to build a 53 Chevy 2dr sedan 150? (has small back window). Plans are to turn it into a g***er. After that I am thinking of doing a 36 Plymouth rod with 241 Hemi (trying to get ***le)or a 50 Plymouth custom.
Well welcome to another Texan. I thought there for a minute that your name was Newperson. Like 'Hi, I'm Bob Newperson, damn glad to meet ya.' LOL Go ahead and finish fillin' in that profile and let us know where you're from. We have HAMBers all over the Lone Star. Have fun, Big Daddy Eric
Sorry, new and still learning the ways of H.A.M.B. Thanks for the info. Just entered my profile. Did not realize it did not go through last time.
well i found ya. ya'll this guy is cool. i will be helping him build a g***er this week so if any of ya'll locals want to stop by the shop and help fill free.i could use some beer and smokes.:>)
Welcome,,,after your probation period(2 weeks) ya can post some of your projects in the cl***ifieds and round up a little extra cash to get started on that g***er! HRP
Damn, I'm way outta the loop... Where are all these new Austin guys coming from?? Welcome!! You're going about it all wrong... your Chevy ought to be a custom and you should buy my 49 Plymouth biz coupe for a g***er project.
I will be taking alot of pics and will hopefully learn how to post them. It don't sound right to some but it will have a mild custom treatment done, (51 Ply grill, different taillight, reworked hood, and other ideals up in the air) it just won't be sitting on the ground.
The car got off to a good start, but ran into some trouble with one of the Kingpins did not want to come out. The old stuffs out and the leafs are in. Hoping to have pics soon. Waiting on some parts hoping will show up by Tuesday. I would also like to send thanks out to the guys that helped out Gr***hopper, Shawn, and John.
Welcome to the HAMB. Guess I will stop by Edwin's shop next week when I am in Austin, take a look at what y'all are doing.
