I guess I better go and defend my Winner ***le. That first place LOSER ***le has been wearing on those S.A. boys bad. I can only hope my motor and the wind don't blow. Always fun racing at The Thaw. Please don't list the reasons you can't come, get off your *** and be there. This is a great motor-vater for 2010.

Not to change the station too much ,but i have heard good and bad things about the newer S/S springs .For one most off them are made in Mexico now (regardless of which company sells them ) ,and second that the new ones are real prone to bending on the front sides after several hard launches .My car hooked pretty good as it was with nothing ,but i noticed the rear shocks were dented from the rearend rotating and hitting them .How i have kept from breaking a rear ujoint or bending the stock springs off the line is amazing .The 8.75 rearend in my car came from a pickup and it doesnt have the holes in the top for a pinion snubber to bolt on ,so thats not an option unless i change the center section to a car type. The only other choice would be to get Caltracs on it and i just couldnt see spending $700 for a Caltrac / monoleaf setup for this old beater.I would rather spend the $700 on the motor with the cam and head upgrades im fixing to do on it.The lift bars i got from Craiglist for $40.00 and fit perfect with a little m***aging. The snubbers are right on the spring eyes and i have them set at no lash with me in it.I dont see how it cant work ,but if it doesnt i will get something on it that does .I mainly put the lift bars on it to limit how far the springs could roll ,and have a solid hit ,not so much to get more traction.I am planning to see how much stall the convertor has with the transbrake and try and find a weak link if it has one.I am figuring it will break a Ujoint first or its gunna pull the wheels in the air .I know a guy from another site that is clicking off consistant 1.30 60 fts ,with old Ansen lift bars just like mine on a 65 Cuda and small slicks.Im only looking for 1.5 60fts with my cars current setup...
