EEZI, Thanks for the kind comments. Yes car is in Brisbane, Australia. California ***embled, and purchased from El Cajon, California in April 2008. Arrived in Melbourne Australia May 2008, not registered, we purchased it November 2008, transported it to Brisbane, registered it and have been adding bits ever since; Stock drive train, electronic ignition, carby rebuilt, new (quiet) exhaust, wheels, lowered, four wheel dual circuit disc brakes, 1" front sway bar, vintage air, alarm.

This is how we got it.

A couple more shots. Excuse the under hood mess. A good tidy up is imminent.

License plate is Australian pronunciation of "Nice".

    Thanks again for the comments.

    Cheers Roscoe.

Here is my 1955 Chevy belair 2dr hardtop. I paid 35.00 for it with a trade of a 1941 plymouth 4dr. It took about 11 momths to get on the road. that was a long long time ago. I think (27) years now. It sits right outside my door we are never parted.

This is the small shop that I got my car from, it is still there however the gentleman Mr. Wright p***ed away 6 months ago. He went for a ride with me when I bought the car back for him to see it. The car had no doors, no motor and interior when I got it. he called me 2 weeks after I got the car to give me a set of doors for the car. Great guy.

c57: thanks, i wouldn't have it any other way!!
ok, maybe all black with no trim. :D

meatball: i dunno, but it's been on there for a couple of years now. it is fairly thick for a decal. it's a sticker though, not a water-slide. thanks for the compliments!! the dash was hacked up for a cd player when i got it, which looked terrible, so i just swapped the trim out for the smooth stuff.

There's a 56 Buick wagon sitting in a driveway in my neighborhood. A younger guy bought it and it has just been sitting for the past year or two. I've been watching a rust spot grow on the tailgate over time and it's really starting to annoy me. I've been contemplating going over there and seeing if he wants it gone. It looks pretty decent from the street other than the surface rust on the trunk. The wife kinda wants an old car to play around with and that wagon would would be sweeeeeeeet.

You know, because the wife wants it.
