Been lurking for a few weeks and decided it was time to join the HAMBers. I'm 43 and work for Samuel Adams full time and AutoZone part time. I don't currently have a hot rod, but am researching to make a educated decision. Now, don't flame me, but my most recent project/restoration was a 1985 Honda. I've always been interested in hot rods, but did the Honda thinking it would be cheaper. I was wrong. Now I wanna sell the Honda and get me something built in Detroit between 1950 and 1959. I'll shut up now and sit back and learn.
Welcome, your in luck there is a pretty good group of HAMBers in you area. Glad to see the Honda is on its way. Are you looking for any think specific in a new ride?
I'm partial to Buicks, but at this point I am just gathering info. I'd prefer an unrestored original (on the cheap).
Welcome from Bethlehem. We have a lot of HAMBers in the area & we meet at many of the shows in the area. It's good ya came out of the closet...hopefully by spring you'll get an idea what you're most interested in & pull the trigger on a project or driver. (Do you get any free beer there at Sam Adams?)
I turned my last project from this: to this: Took several awards and had 3 magazine appearances in '09.
Maybe I'll meet some of you guys at Wheels of Time of Das Awksht Fescht next year, I never miss them: And yes, I get free beer. I'm gonna have lots of new friends now, aren't I?
