Add: A BIG shop with a lift and under floor heat and a wish that my son gets the bug (he's 8) so I can keep building hot rods when I get old.
Here was my bucket list this year. http://www.hotrodsonline.com/Bucket/index.html Next I want to be a free lance gynecologist. My card would read, have stirrups, will travel.
I might not be as old as some but will most likely drop off sooner than most. Before I croke It had always been a dream of mine to drive a Kustom from coast to coast kinda like an rv trip with no rv. I want to leave a mark on the hot rod world like the great George Barris!
No particular order: 1. attend a drag racing school and drive a funny car 2. ride the Pacific Coast Highway on my motorcycle 3. drive a hotrod to Bonneville Speedweeks 4. see the Northern Lights in person 5. witness a shuttle launch 6. skydive 7. scuba dive in clear Caribbean waters 8. see the Redwood forest 9. Give away $1MM while I'm alive (still climbing the hill before this can start!) 10. visit/vacation the Pacific NW and watch that "older rodder" stuff bub!!
Finish my current project Travel to Yellowstone and the Grand Canyon in my project. See my Grandchildren graduate college
If you send me the 1MM, I'll set up a tour to see the Northern lights. I'll buy the beer and cover your plane ticket.
Days away from 59 and my Top Six haven't changed in years. LA Roadster Show, Bonneville, Pebble Beach, Grand National Roadster Show, Winning LOTTO. Merry Christmas!
I'm not old per se, but I can add my list too. build a car for bonneville with pops then travel from the east cost there on 66 as much as possible for speed week. PCH in a drop top
Well not really my "Bucket List", however; a very good friend of Jeff Norwell's and mine, whom we attend drag racing events with, was advised of his sickness which has stunned us all. So too make a long story short, maybe we could add "Paul Dunbar's" name on our 'Busket List' for his health. Paul and his wife, Sandra Dunbar, own the "James Boys" '33 Willy's Gasser by London, Ontario..... Awsome people......
Paul & I were on a short "road trip" last Tuesday.. We've been freinds for over 30 years.. He does have a long struggle ahead .. Thanks for the kind words. Rick (ONDR guy) =========================================
want to get arrested for going 200+ on the interstate and make them write the ticket out. That way I have proof of the reason I ride the bus everywhere I go now.
Made it to Bonneville with my son last year, that was on the top of my list. Lots of OT stuff, but one at least related to old machinery is to take a ride in a DC-3 or a Flying Fortress. There are still a few out there.
Tommy Ivo's Nailhead T-bucket Norm Grabowski's Tweedy Pie Tony Nancy's A/MR Oh shit, I mis-read the question...
Own a hot rod shop even if its small business that breaks even 200mph club own a 59 impala go across united states on a motorcycle
You two crack me up I noticed ALOT of guys have B'ville on your lists. I don't know what I can say to encourage you to do it NOW. Life is short, ya never know what is going to happen tomorrow. Work it out to go sooner then later. Over the last 30+ years I've done just about everything I wanted when the desire struck me. If I wanted to travel, I saved up the money and went to the place I wanted (Australia, Europe, Hawaii and Alaska come to mind right off). If I didn't have the money to do something then I worked a second job to rasie the money and made it happen. There is a couple of things I haven't done, drive a race car on the Salt during Speed Week which, thanks to the Strange Days Garage fellas I'll be doing this year. I'd also like to do an African Photo Safari. I'll do that soon.
