Need source for pinion nut for '42-'47 f1 open banjo

    Tried Joblot, Mac's, etc. Nobody seems to carry the pinion nut for the open drive banjo foe the '42-'47 f1 truck. It's the nut 7/8"-20 that holds the yoke on the pinion, not the big bearing retaining nuts.
    Any info appreciated - also interested if anybody has a good used one...

    It takes a castle nut. I have one, just not sure its correct. Don't have a bolt and my tap is a 7/8X14.

    I have a junk open drive pinion with a nut on it. I'll look Monday . I'll ck the thread after I find it.

    Try Hilco Fasteners in Garden Grove Ca. I think they have a website. They sell all kinds of odd sizes.

    Thanks for the great help everybody. I will try to verify that the Jeep nut fits.
    Oldbob I will keep you in mind if I can't find a new one.
