Aight guys i need help. Im running a 90s model caprice rearend in my car and im tryin to run hardline off the factory lines off the caliper . 3/16" brake line is too small and 1/4 " brake line is too big . Does anyone have a clue what the fitting size is ? I have been too all the parts stores and noone has a line that will fit it . And none of them can seem too find what size the fitting is . The only thing i found is an 1/8" pipe thread fitting seemed close... All the help would be great if anyone could please help me out ... THANKS

10 mm metric , with a bubble flair ! The line is 3/16" but the fitting is metric...
Adapters available from "everco" (commom br*** fitting line in a REAL parts store)

  3. You tried the metric fitting lines? I'd have them pull a caliper for one off the shelf, too, and verify the size with it.

    Okay, I type too slow.

Local napa here has a wide selection of fittings, and just match the thread with a fitting to tell you what it is, then go from there.

Here is a photo of a metric bubble flair :D
Why not just buy the hard line with the bubble flair already done and then cut the other end and make it a regular double flare ?

if it was me i would leave the bubble flair.i had to do some brake lines on my mother-in-laws firebird and had to buy the bubble flair tool and loved it.i think they are way easyer to do than a double flair.i think you can buy-rent one from autozone.when your done you can take it back and get your money back.
