After already fixing it once, we've determined that a student of mine probably has a cracked head in his truck. Compression is within 3 PSI on all cylinders, but it's loosing water out the tailpipe. I remember hearing about a dump in the radiator type product that was made for sealing minor cracks in heads and blocks. Anyone have any idea what I'm takling about? Any product recomendations? We really want to avoid having to pull it apart again. Thanks -Jeff
Dont even go there,,,all your asking for is trouble,,as any thing which is cappable of sealing a crack in a cylinder head,,will also plug your radiator core for sure,,,ask anyone on here and i'm sure they will back me up on this,,,,Do it right the first time,,,and the problem will be solved.
IF YOU ABSOLUTELY MUST! moroso makes a product that they use in nascar, known as liquid gl***. active ingredient, sodium silicate. that being said, byp*** your heater core before you use it, and thoroughly flush the cooling system after the leak stops. use it in straight water. it will plug your heater core iffn' you do not by p*** it.
