What Blower Oil?

I have just finished rebuilding my first 6/71 Blower and I am ready to fill it with oil.

The problem I have is, what kind of oil should I fill it with?

My initial guess was that given they used to be fed engine oil, then they should still be fed engine oil.

Help?

 

90 weight gear oil is generally whats recommended.

 

80-90, 90-120 gear oil is what I run in mine.
I was told this was the right oil by Big Al, whos business is building blowers.
