Event Coverage ***PICS*** burger run ,San Jose 12/20

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by A32Flathead, Dec 20, 2009.

  1. The Strangers Car Club arranges a few of these "Drive Em Dammit" car runs throughout the year, this one however was a little different, we all donated toys for kids for Christmas before setting off on a run from Santa Clara, via some wonderful roads down to Hollister CA.

Thanks to Scotty (Cadillac nut) for arranging it...

Heres a few pictures, and a link to the slideshow at the end....

    Enjoy...

    Ready for the off....

Made my day seeing my old '63 V200 Wagon back on the road, thanks to the efforts of Aaron (jrstockwagon).

i ended up going to a friends shop after i got back home. a few minutes after i got there i looked outside and it was pouring rain, so i had to drive the wagon home in the rain with slicks and no windshield wipers. but it was still a good day.

Right on! Once you're on Hawaiian Time, you're always on Hawaiian Time. No escape.

I've seen your Cadi at Paso/Santa Maria before. Next time I'll say Hi.

Looks like a great time! The weather looked real good from where I sit. The only thing I got to drive yesterday was the snowblower. Thanks for the pics Dave.

It is definitely a cool wagon, with a hopped up slant six none the less.
Maybe I should get some slicks and meet him at the strip?
I enjoyed the pictures of the back of Dave's and my head from couple clicks up. Never seen that view of my car.

i will be at infineon next year as much as possible on wednesday nights. but i run regular street tires at the track. 245/60-15. they are only 26 inches tall instead of 28". the slicks are kind of just for fun. i hope with some 3:55's and a new head with bigger valves and more compression i can get it into the low 15's. the first trip to the track with 800 miles on the car i was only able to get it to do a 17.50. but i was tuning the carb still, and thats with 2:76's.

You have a great looking ride, I am going to see if you have already started a thread about you car with some more pictures but if you have not you need to. Great car and nice to see you running a slant 6 for power.
