    i'm tryin man.
i dont really like working on cars all that much
so when i start one of my projects i tend to try and get it done and done well as soon as possible.
i am probably the only guy on this forum that doesnt like tinkering but thats the way it is.
i am much more interested in driving my vehicles than working on them.
    get it done.
    and DRIVE IT!:D

  13. Man! It looks like you're doing a great job. I had a '34 truck a couple of decades ago and I replaced all the wood. What a pain! If I'd had the fabrication skills then I would have got rid of the wood like you're doing. Heck, I probably don't have the skills now but I'm ballsier than I was 20 years ago and would give it a go anyway I think. I wish I still had that '34. Anyway, good job. I love those old Chevy trucks and it looks like you're going to end up with something real nice and on a budget too. That's the way man!

Excellent work... I think I'll keep an eye on this as I am looking for ideas on how to replace the wood in my 30 Chevy as well.

a menacing gang of hoods showed up at my buddies house.
for some reason the scariest one handed me that shell
    and said cryptically
    we will talk.
then they all jumped in this big ol 4x4 and roared off yelling
    WE WILL BE BACK!
    what can it all mean?

we decided to go with the suicide front end.
so we recieved the spring /shackles etc. yesterday
and today i am going to go pick up the steel for the frame.
i just need to figure out what i am gonna use to haul it.
it wont fit in the toyota !

i wouldn't worry about that too much .... w/ big/littles you won't ever be swapping front to back anyway... i'd use the rearend you have if its a good one. my t will have 5.5 front and im using a 4.5 rear that i already had.
