I would keep it a 4 door. It looks good just how you have it.

thanks alot man! i took 3 inches out of the windshiled posts, and the back is tbd. i have to go over my measure points after i get everything solid in the rear. i kinda threw myself a curve ball when i decided to go with the chevy backlite, so i dont know exactly how much we ended up with in the rear, but i do know its about 4 inches in the rear. give or take.

Got any pics pf the rear window. Working on chopping '53 4dr and trying to come up with back window that flows well. You say you used a '50 chevy sedan window?

well...right now, the general plan is FINISH THE CAR. hahaha. but id like to get the rear doors finished and flowing nice., get all the garnish mouldings cut and back into the car. obviously get a front windshield cut so i can install it (prayers for me there please hahaha) get all the belt trim finished up and put back on, finish up all the little odds and ends with bodywork and paint the car. i THINK im going to put it back to the light mint green body with a white top + pearls in that. thats the plan so far...:D

hahaha! ya know the funniest thing about those tail lights is that i was going to get rid of them and run some bumperette style tail lights. but after i got the roof cut and back on, i liked the lights a whole lot more, so i think im going to keep em now.

Did your back door on the Olds have vent wing windows? If so were you planning on putting the vent windows back in? or were you just planning on running just a single window now?

it did have smoking windows yes, am i keeping them? no. i think it will go wiht the flow of the car better without them. im kinda at a roadblock with it right now as far as the rear belt trim. i want to keep it because i want some brightwork when all is said and done, but im not sure how it would look in the end. hopefully i'll have some updated pix real soon!

Any updates on the chop? I was concerned over the flow of my '53 Buick that I am chopping as to what rear window to use that would lend towards the car looking more like a factory chop, this included keeping the rear belt line. Seen too many chops where the rear window and sail panels are an afterthought. Too many rear beltlines cut out and don't match the the rest of the belt line. I can understand your roadblock. Hope you are able to keep your beltline as I think it will make the car flow that much nicer. I am using a 50 Merc back window.
