I purchased a '48 Fordor last September and am in the process of collecting the parts I want to add/modify.

Right now I'm stuck on headers. The motor is a SBF - 85 302. I can't seem to find anything that comes close to clearing the steering.

    Anyone have a suggestion?

I would look at block huggers. Check ebay.

Welcome to the HAMB and I like your choice in cars.
I'm using Hooker block huggers in mine and also have the MII setup.
    Is that JasonP's old car?

That car is in Virginia now? I'm friends with Jonnie, the original builder.

I purchased it and had it delivered in Sept.

Thanks for all thge suggestions. The block huggers I've looked won't do it around the box and I'd like to keep the original front end (w/disks).

Has anyone found anything that works with that setup.
