What the Rum Runners should really be asking themselves is, how do you know which shop we are building our car at? Are you feeling the love now?
I gues your right i might not have gone to the right shop for all i know i was at yor clubs s**** yard with all that junk you guys have piled up in the back lol. dont worry im just kiding. And i still love you xoxoxoxoxo
Don't worry winton1, we know you guys are kiddin'. I think the trash talk during the builds will be more fun than the actual race.....almost! I'm all for keeping this deal light and fun so let 'em fly, that way we'll have something to give you guys a hard time about while you're sweating over a hot BBQ Making us lunch!
The only time any one from our crew will be sweeting over the bbq is when were looking over your shoulder to make shure your not burning the meet . Dont forget bud lights only gunna be on sale for a little longer .
Looking good Wally! You guys will have that thing done in no time. I'm guessing you guys are planning on going to Sacramento or somewhere to make some shakedown p***es before the big day huh?
Thats the plans hopfully we can finish it up and get it some were that we have a chance to dile it in. im shure once its all together thier will b other problems well run across so hopfully well have enuff time to get most the bugs work out if not we got a 250 shot we can put on it and just go for broke . do any of you guys have expirence with running brakes cause i think thats the only way well b able to steer cause i know the front wheels wont b on the ground till at least half track spechally if we can get this turbo set up figured out. So have you guys actully decided on what your building or is it top secret. would love to know what kind of rig you guys are building you dont have to tell all you secrets just wondering what you guys are guna build. love RUM RUNNERS xoxoxoxoxo good luck with your build SC im shure youl bring somthin sweet to the race.
The frame is the easy part, still have to convert the brakes and set up the steering. I think will do that one night when we dont have any beer or rum.I just got a line on a non-op ***le, so the pig sticker should be on the street by the race. Hey Rodger how about a side race with our Mustangs, mine will be their.
I was thinking about bringing my Mustang out there if it's back together by then, a match race would be fun! I wish i would have read the flyer better for the first eagle field even I would have tried to get my Mustang out there for that one too!
good luck to both clubs hope the rum runners pull it off thought good luck boys. i got high hopes for the pig sticker they got thier **** together so far hope you guys are gettin ready SC
How come no pictures from SC ????????? makes every one wonder huh. well maybe you can start after the holidays !!!! GO RUM RUNNERS, Hey Wally can I bring my Mustang too ??????
got it yesterday bro. can i use your engine stand to break in the motor. it should be a nasty little basterd.
Capmotorsports I think it would be cool if you get the Boss on the road...the engine is hush hush super double top secret. Doing work on Sat. 26
capmotorsports, That's pretty much the plan. We are all so busy this time of year that I think we all just wanted to put the racecar on hold untill after the new year. There will be pictures though, you guys know Drew, he's great at the writeups!
the top secret engine is up and running wally all systems go. broke it in saturday ran like a champ sounds like a monster.
I cant let this go unsaid, today after work i'm driving home and i see 2 S.C. members on the side of the road about a block from there club house. I stop to see whats up, and they say "nothing just waiting for a 3rd member. so i get out and start to b.s. with them. When they figure i aint leaving they admit to being broke down. The next thing i know half there club is there like they thru up the "BAT SIGNAL". Although the support for a "MAN DOWN" was cool. I ask if they cant get a block away from their club house are the RUM RUNNERS going to have to tow them down the track!
Well, like Wally said one of our cars broke down.....**** happens man. The part of the story I am glad he included was that half the club we there within about 15 minutes to turn wrenches and make jokes. The dizzy zapped a coil in the car and we ended up just swapping the whole thing out. The car was running within an hour or so and we had more members there than we knew what to do with. Thats just how we roll.... as far as towin us down a drag strip who knows what the future holds. We got our dirty little fingers in alot of dirty little pies. Eagle Field is important but we are also trying to get some cars running for VLV13 in April. Good luck to the RUM RUNNERS...we will give them some compe***ion.
Wally, there something I just can't let go unsaid either, I'm sure anyone on the HAMB knows when you actually have an old car and drive it on a regular basis things tend to go wrong. I know that you know all about that. Thanks to all the guys that just showed up. It's always good to know when something does go wrong I can count on my club members to be there. It's pretty funny that it broke down a block away from the shop. I guess that was the lucky part because my car is never at the shop unless I'm there for a meeting or to work on someone elses ride.
AND....If you really think about it in the last year Benny and I with others have pretty much covered the state in our cars. Sac Autorama, BP, Santa Maria, Midnight M***, One Night Stand, GG Pleasanton, RZ BBQ, .........PLUS all the "lets just get out and drive",....... our cars see some hard miles every year. Burning out an HEI module is bound to happen.
Uhh.................I dont get this at all. Are you saying its uncool for friends to help eachother out when they are stranded on the side of the road?
Not at all muttley I thought it was cool they all showed up, I just took the opportunity to poke a little fun at the boys. I like all the guys in their club and Benny's car is one of my local favorites. All in good fun, and they know it!
