Here is your last look at the bare metal. Tomorrow we get some DP90. I like the bare metal look. But, after the wettest, most humid Sept and Oct in DFW history, I'm tired of rubbing on the darn thing.

It'll be even more pretty with some shiny color finish, none of that flat crap-O.
All flats get wet inside, give it the protection it needs.
    very nice rod!

down here rust will grow under the clear. i use an industrial paint for a primer look. you can paint over bare metal just like dp-90, but it wont chaulk up in a few months. the name of it is devoe industrial paints. look it up.

My "A" body is almost in the same state of bareness as yours was. Did you use anything on the bare metal while waiting for paint. I don't plan to paint mine till spring but i'm concerned about putting some of the rust preventions I have seen posted on here for fear of leaving behind something when I paint. I asked the paint dealer for a recommendation and he advised to not put anything on it.

    Thanks,
    Bob

Nice, but, I would recomend loosing the radials.

  28. That's going to be even nicer with that new frame under it. Have you chosen the tire and wheel combo yet?
