Hello to all. Just another car nut looking for like minded people to hang out and talk shop with. I'm just a few weeks shy of 45 years old, been eating breathing, and sleeping cars since 2nd grade. My current project is a 37 Chevy coupe. Building her hi-boy style with an old 283 for power. I make my living wrenching on cars and boats. Hope to be able to learn a thing or two, and maybe be of some help to others along the way. Thanks for your time.

It's a '79 Shovel with a Thumper-Pro rearend. Thumper-Pro was based out of California but went out of business a few years ago. More pictures of it in my album.

Thanks for the welcome. My ol' 37 ain't much to look at right now, but I'll get some pics of it posted soon. If you happen to have any spare parts laying around I could really use a hinge for the drivers door.

Thanks, I haven't been to Bowling Green for a couple years.Last time I toured the Corvette museum on my way back from a road trip to Nashville. Thinking about trying to make it down to the Hot Rod Reunion this summer. Have you been to the Reunion?

I got my 30 body from Duane Fred down your way. He's a hard cat to hold onto. Knows his stuff. Lots of good car builders around Louieville that never hit the news.

I will be blown away just to get mine to start, move and stop. I had a bid to install my floor but couldn't come up with the bread so I'm trying it myself. I found this site while looking for sheetmetal blogs to get some basics. The landracing.com site has some good fabrication on it. Got any bites on the 37? Thats a desireable car.

For those of you who haven't been to Beatersville don't get your hopes up. All the hype on their website about what's in and what's out seems to go out the window the day of the show. This year's car was beautiful with lots of work spent on the car, but it had to be a $100,000 dollar car and was everything they said not to be on the site. Sad really. But there are some awesome cars and awesome vendors there, so go as a spectator and save your $20.
