Need some deminsions on an A sedan

Greetings n Salutations:

Can I get someone with an A sedan to measure from the center-line of the rear axle opening to the cowl? And to the rear.
And, does anyone know know if there is a difference between 28-29 vs 30-31





I'm thinking of taking the PU cab and bed off mine and picking up a tudor body and playing with that to see if I can get some legroom.

I could be wrong but I think the centerline of the rear axle is a bit further than where you're indicated. I think it's at the top of the "P" that's laying down at the bottom of the wheel well. At least that's where the centerline is on my '29 sedan.

If you're swapping an A to an A then there shouldn't be any difference.

Although really cool, those don't tell me the distance from the firewall to the wheel opening.

If someone doesn't come up with it, I can import those into AutoCAD and come up with something. I'll give it a while.

 

Looks like about 72 5/8" from the rear axle centerline, and 21 5/8" from the rear axle centerline to the back edge, up above the beltline. That's for a '30-'31. I'll have to compaer the '28-'29.

 

'28-'29; I get 77 5/16" from the rear axle centerline, and 19 9/16" from the rear axle centerline to the back edge, up above the beltline. Keep in mind, I dust dropped in the raster drawings, scaled them up to match the wheelbase dimension on the drawings, and then used the AutoCAD dimension tool to come up with these numbers; may not be perfect, but probably close enough.

 

As far as the '30-'31 truck, the wheelbase is the same, and when I scanned it in, the rear axle to cowl was within 3/4" from the same, this could just be from the fuzziness of the raster image I scanned in. I'd say go for it.

My pu measures 76 plus or minus a half inch, but it's on a hand built frame so ???.
I'll be going with a 30-31. Just like the look a little better. Cowl on a 28-29 looks more like a T to me.

It'll be fun to see how close it actually comes.
