Can anyone identify the car with the nice rust patina in the center of the attached pic? It currently resides in a local boneyard. Thanks.
'38 Chivvy was my first inclination, because a gal I knew in '57 had one, never saw it in daylight, just the outline of it parked in the dark waiting for me to go get in.
I agree, 37-38 chevy. But did anybody else notice between the red box side and the two tires on the ground in the left side of the pic...... THAT FOLDING LAWN CHAIR IS AWESOME!!!! Looks like a damn good candidate for a HAMB AUCTION!!!!!
NOT A 37 CHEVY 39 chevy or olds look at the quarter windows i dont see the belt line on it so it may be an olds
SKRATCH THAT I just did a relook it is a 37/38 buick or pontiac the rear roof line flows like a 37/38 chevy but has 39 quarter windows heck i knew that when i was 17 years old
I say Chev man the Olds and Pontiac ad a different quarter window, Chev for sure. Take er outa there man ! It looks nicer than mine did when I got it.
the real question is......is it for sale and are ya goin' to buy it and bring her back to life....ya better...for the sake of hot roddin'
I'm not sure it's a chevy, the roof doesn't flow as nice as a 37/38, and the quarter window's too rounded for a 39 (I have a 39 pontiac, same thing). Doesn't matter what it is, SAVE IT!
Not really enough in the pic to tell for sure. But if you could tell me where it is at I could go by an make a positive ID for ya!
If anyone is interested, I've posted more pics from this yard on another thread... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=416672 Unfortunately, I don't have any better pics of the car in question, but don't let the "solid rust" fool ya - that car is straight and solid.
80's Eagle wagon, 87-88 Turbo Coupe w/turbo'd 2.3 liter 4 cyl, 63 small window Chevy pickup, a cool late 50's bus/motorhome and a rusty 37-38 Chevy.
