Its too bad crites dosent expand his inventory.I'm sure he would sell a ton of these factory style but functional.

Or on the teardrop hoods making it available for the 3",4",5", and a 6" tall teardrop portion for all of the cars.

A ram air hood for the Falcon I know would be a big hit.

Or a combo ramair teardrop for both the comet or falcon.

Ken;I would also like to see Crites expand their parts line. How about the one piece 65 Comet bumper-splash shield, fiberglass 65 Comet fender extensions.66-67 Comet fenders and doors.I guess I'm getting greedy!! ROY.

  4. Here are a couple shots of my fathers '67 Comets with functional ram air hoods.
The green one is a 1 of 8 w-code (427 single carb) Cyclone. It was the last one built and only has 16,000 miles on it.

The white one is a 202 with 30,000 original miles. Originally a 289 car, now runs a 428 and has been 9.65.

The green cars hood is an original "over the counter" functional Plaza Fiberglass hood.

The white car has a Crites hood.

Jody;your Fathers 67 is a beautiful car.I talked to him in Dearborn this year but I can not remember if he bought the Cyclone new.A good friend has a Burgandy,67 Cyclone he ordered new,390,4-speed,black interior,he said the dealer[and his wife],talked him out of the 427.He raced for years with various 390 mods then finally stepped up to a 427.He still has the Cyclone and is putting a new 427 in along with Crites fiberglass to get some weight off.I can't believe how much heavier Cyclones are than a Fairlane! ROY.

Those are both damn nice cars.I like both years but I think I like the 67 a little more.
Just a side note What ever happened to that 202 white comet that I cant remember if it was car craft or popular hot rodding bought off of e-bay a couple of years ago they were going to make a nostalgic racer out of.The car was really nice when it was listed on e -bay.Almost bought it being it was just down in new mexico , 6 hour drive for me.

How often does your dad race?

Heres some pics of a friend of fast eddie that just got this tribute car done.I put these on earlier but I dont think they showed up.

Nice car,Needs some pie crusts up front.I'm sure it cost him some to adapt the teardrop on the ram air hood.Something Crites should just make and sell.

  20. Was at Indy in 64' and saw the Sachs & Sons Comet run. It ran in B/F Dragster as there was no class for that type of car. It ran somewhere around 157 mph. Everyone would be on their feet when the car came to the line. Those were the days!!

Hey Roy; nice pics that mercuryjunky posted of your Comet and Dyno's wheelstand, almost perfect match, just needs a straight front axle. LOL. I'll let you use the one I was going to use in mine.
