My 62 vette & 39 coupe. Don't know where the vettes at but the 39 was in upstate NY & I heard the guy loved it.
1958 Chevrolet Sedan Delivery. Let me ask you, how many of these have you seen other than looking at a picture? The only one I ever saw in real life was the one I owned in the mid-seventies. I let it go, JACKASS!
Well I wish I had back my 63 Red Corvette coupe, My 55 Yellow Chevy 2 dr post with black roll and pleat and 105 Louvers in the hood (Voted the third place best car at the 1981 Car Craft street machine nats out of aprox 5000 cars and I have the Plaque to prove it) My 1959 Chevy Impala "Drop Top" slamed with a Cal Custom tube grill or My 1941 Ford panel truck that had been stored 25 years. When my Bride of 43 years tells me how stupid I have become I have to look back and see that I WAS ALWAYS STUPID.!!!!!!!!!! LOL TOM (Tired Old Man)
If I could bring back just one of my old cars it'd have to be my old 57 Pontiac sedan...I used a '59 Pontiac 389 in it with a muncie 4 speed and 3.42 gears..had a great body and original interior. Had a lotta fun in that car.
I just sold one....i bought it out of Jamestown NY and that guy purchased it back then from around the Jersey or NYC area...I wonder if it could have been the same car?? My 1st car was a really nice 62 Chevy II 400 that got ruined by a 'local hack'...Also had a pretty solid 55 2dr post that i kick myself for letting go....I'll dig the pics up
There used to be one in the mid Michigan area back in the early Eighties, along with a '58 airport limo that a friend of mine tried to acquire. No idea what happened to either of them. My old avatar was one I truly regret losing;the body shell of Bud Faubel's '64 Dodge 440 hardtop Max Wedge car. I also regret, now that there's a '64 Sport Fury in the garage, getting rid of my '64 Fury that i had at the same time I had the Faubel car. It(the Fury) was rough, but had a lot of good trim that would be nice to have as spare parts now. Oh well, hindsight is so clearly focused...
The list is endless with over 200 cars owned in my life. The one I would like to have back NOW is my first built hot rod (built when I was 16)........ a 1929 coupe with the engine out of the '47 Ford school bus that I rode to school on my first day. Long story that's been recounted here on the HAMB before. Frank
Been gone just over 5 years ... After these photos were taken, I had it painted and installed new Hunley Acuff running boards. For Christmas my wife has the upholstery done ... Then I messed up and sold it to a fellow HAMBER ... At least a HAMBER has it and is most likely a better care taker of it than I was. But I built this ... so everything is OK
1964 Dodge Dart GT. Originally had the slant 6 and 3 on the tree and I drove the snot out of that thing. It was my daily driver in high school. A couple of rods decided that they were going to make a break for it and jumped out the side of the block. Turned it in to a dedicated drag car that I eventually ended up selling it a few years later and it's still being raced here. Every time I see that car I get a little sentimental.
My 47 Chevy coupe , I bought it when I was 15 my first car. I ended up selling it and my 57 Chevy to buy a 69 Mach 1 which I still have 26 years later , but still miss that 47 coupe . Rocky
I guess it was in 96 I made my mistake , myw/ 54 Olds is most regretted sale, had all the kick ass goodies, 394 ,B+M autostick moon covers and a whole host of multi carb intakes sitting on shelf . Let it all go so I could build my 65 F85 tube chassis car which I had to sell to pay bills after an Auto accident ,also sold my 70 Monte carlo that was tubbed and caged still street legal .
Sold my 36 Olds to get my 49 Hudson. Sold the Hudson to get my 49 Buick. Want them both back. Also miss my 56 Chevy panel.
Thanks. My dad and I built it together. The ex didn't want it, she just didn't want me to have it either.
it had a full 2x4 chassis, solid mount rear, hand brake only (switched it to a foot pedal) it was the real deal! couldn't find any history on it. bought it cheap, took it to a swap/car show. guy made an offer i couldn't refuse, and now im still kickin myself in the ass a couple years later! oh well, cant keep em all.
