She got me some of my old favorites (and one new) for Christmas!!! Two lane blacktop, American graffiti, California kid, and Gran torino. I think I'll keep her!
You would be surprised how much a good wife contributes to the efforts of a hot rod guy. They keep everything else running smooth while we are in persuit of the elusive dreams. I treat mine extra nice and couldn't have done what I did without her. Happy wife; happy life.
I think she is looking for some quiet time Very nice collection, she takes good care of you. You're a lucky guy.
Sixdogs is absolutely right! a wife will be an ***et to the deal, or kill it completely! One must be careful in the choice they make for a spouse. I recommend having the Hot Rod discussion BEFORE MARRIAGE!!! Explain that while you love her, cars and motorcycles have always been, and will always be a part of life with you. You are a gearhead, and that's what she's getting. If she's cool with, by all means MARRY HER BEFORE SOMEONE ELSE DOES!!! If not, kindly, and sincerely tell her to go find some other stooge to beat into submission! 340Fish & Cajun Kenny - Actually, quiet time usually revolves around one of her lame chick flicks, but she will watch my movies if I ask her to. Give and take. I endure the chick flick once in a while, and she watches mine with me too. Half the time, she winds up likeing my movies anyway, but I always tell her that her chick flicks are still totally gay, and my sitting with her to watch them is a selfless act to show my love for her.
I guess I lucked out with a wife with a love for cars and a Tool and Die / Machinist ticket. I agree, have a talk BEFORE MARRIAGE and explain that you're a gearhead before hand!! You might be surprised the outcome.... my wife's first project was a 1959 GMC pick-up. Stay cool, RRM
Now if you guys tell me on top of all of this you do it 3 times a week ... you have hit the jackpot !!!
