Well, after lurking and chatting in a few posts, Looking for a few part/answers here and there, here is my official HELLO!

Been working on cars since I could drive them. Always did my own work because I could afford to pay anyone else to do it.

Born and raised in Milwaukee, moved to Green Bay in 1997 because I couldn't afford a house down there.

Been working on quite a few cars in the past and have never really sold one. Well, maybe one, but it caught on fire a few weeks later and I gave him his money back. (Carb fire) Either I still have them, or they went to the crusher. I get as may miles as possible out of every one that I own/owned. Right now our daily drivers have 200k and 135k on them.

My first car of worth mentioning in these parts, is a 1972 Lemans w/ the GTO front clip. All factory 105k and all original and unmolested. bought it in 1989 for $1000, and still have it and and working on getting it back on the road now after 15 years of sitting and waiting.

In 1991 I bought a 1966 Harley FLH and drove the **** out of that, but that would explain why the Lemans just sat there. Harley's are a lot more fun!

Since then, it's been mostly working on my old farm house (1918!). Until a few years ago, it was all house, but cars are starting to make it to the top again.

My brother picked up a 1966 Olds F85 for free, and it needed a lot of work done on it. He brought it up from Kenosha 3 years ago, and we did everything to it. Replaced the 330 w/ a 350 Rocket and the 3 on the tree for a rockcrusher M21. He just took it back about a month ago, to finish up putting in the interior and starting it up for the first time in 21 years.

Now more on subject, I've been talking to a friend of mine where I used to work. Her father worked at a Ford dealership and found a 1940 Pontiac in a barn that he was going to restore we he retired. Finally retired 2 years ago, started to work on it collecting parts, starting body work and such. He got sick about 1.5 years ago, and died. I'm sure that story has been told a few times here.

Well, long story short, the car it now at my house and sitting in my garage where the F85 was sitting. I started looking for parts for it, and came across another 1940, exactly the same model as mine. I just picked that up and it's now sitting in the woodshed.

Now, somewhere in the middle of all of this, my uncle had his 1953 Chevy 210 brought down from up north (hayward), and I've had that now for 2 years already. It was another barn find, and didn't run or drive for 15 years when it got here. A few weeks worth of weekend and I was driving it up and down the road. He knows nothing out cars and everything about wood working. I Redid all the brakes and converted it to a dual master cylinder, and drove it everywhere. It was always burning a lot of oil, and never ran just right. So, I just took the engine out of it on Thanksgiving to give it a refreshing and found a nice bent pushrod. It was running on 5 the entire time I was driving it. :) Might do some body repairs on it before I send it back up to him, but I want it dependable before I send it back to him. He'd like to use it to haul his CrissCraft around.

That's enough for now! I almost feel like I'm talking to myself.

Oh, I hate to break it to everyone, but the Lemans gets done first. I've had it for so long it needs to get out of there and back on the road.

As for what I'm planning with the 40's? I was thinking one stock, and the other SBC. :)

    Hello!

My Leman's spent most of it's life in Sheboygan until I got it back in 89. It was owned by 2 doctors there, then sold to a kid that started to work on it, but his dad made him sell it. Friend of mine picked it up, but had no time for it, so sold it to me for what he paid for it.

I went for a few interviews at Krause back in 1997 when looking for a new job and to move out of Milwaukee. Nice little town there, but doesn't seem much to do there, or actually close to anything.

One thing that I have never done though, is to go to the car show there. Times are changing now, and it looks like I'll be going every year now, giving the new additions, and the need for parts and info now.

Thanks everyone! It's about time I said an official HI!

Been here on and off for quite a few months now.

Now it's time to pickup parts to start on the Lemans. At least I know I don't have to do any rust or serious body work on it. It's all mechanical stuff that needs to be done on it.

Though, I do have an itch to get one of the 40's on the road, without restoring it of course. Just make it road safe.
