    Yes they will be fully prepping the track, I will be there really trying to get it the best it can be that weekend, There are plenty of high 5 and 6 second cars there running some great 60 foot times, As with any nostalgic event it is for fun and not as much seriousness. Maybe they prep more that we think. We had no problems with the Anglia in the 7's and it ran the best times ever there. Plenty of shutdonw area, etc. Believe me this track rules!!!!!!!! We will be going out there almost every Sunday up till the event so if anyone wants to head out for some test and tune we should be there

    Track prep;
    We will do a normal track prep, which includes spraying VHT to the 1/8 mile. If your car needs more than that, maybe you should be running NHRA National events.

    With the number of street tires that will be on the track, and the heat, I don’t think we will see the best track of the year. But again, if you need more traction than we can provide, maybe YOU should change something!

    On more positive note. I just received a phone call that it is a 90 percent chance we will have the Legendary Harvey Pipkins and "Snuff Box" on display as well as FED that is being restored by Don Ross Fabrication and the Riersons, It is really shaping up to be a awesome event

    Other notable cars already are Scorpion 5 and Scorpion 1, thanks Don Ross and the Scorpion Gang for the early support you guys are awesome!!!!!

    If you cant tell already we are super excited

    Why would you not want to visit Yello Belly ? Is there something that makes the track different than the rest ? If the Dirtys give it the thumbs up ,thats good enough for me ...

    Yeah, there is...but it really does not matter for this event.

    The Dirty's are working hard on this, it should be killer, and I highly doubt any of the legendary nonsense that still occurs at that track would happen during this event because it is a totally different crowd and the late model (for a lack of a better term) and street racers will not be in the mix so hopefully this will stop coming up.

    I don't think this crowd is the type to bring or put up with that type nonsense. Every nostalgia event we have been to (all of them in Texas) and the regulars that normally attend these type of events are the best of people. Always a good time to be had.

    We're looking forward to being there. Thanks to Rusty and the crew for putting this together.

    There will also be more of "us" than "them", so I dont see any problems.
    Line em up Rusty!

    Yeah, this is going to be fun and im sure Rusty wants it to be a nonsence-free event so if youre scared stay home and if you come out dont bring any of your "other" equipment as it wont be needed.... :)

    I haven't been to YB since I was a teenager because of all the bs out there. It will be nice to take back the track even if it is only 1 day a year!! Good job guys, I'm looking forward to it!!!

    The old guy I bought my old 3 window from said it was raced in the early 60s at yello belly. Does anyone have any early photos of this strip. The guy was in the Mineola area that owned the car originally. It ran a 390 cadi with a chain drive blower... scary shit! There could not have been that many chopped 3 window 33 chevys then. Im putting the old car back together now with a 345 desoto hemi !! hope to get to bring it home and burn some rubber !! Im going to post some photos of the car as soon as I get it back on the frame !!

    I expect that there will be many other car club logos on the back of this year's t-shirts, but the Yay-Hoos would like to be the first car club sponsor of this Kick Ass Event!

    Let me know how to get the $$$ to you so that it'll be official.
