  1. I am building a 77 cutlass salon for a driver, I know its not a HAMB friendly car but a sweet body. I want to use an overdrive trans with the stock 350 motor what OD trans did the gen use with this motor in the 80s thanks Bob

    Bob,
The Hydramatic 200-4R will bolt up to your Olds 350. You'll have to rework your stock crossmember or make up a custom job. Cooler lines and speedo cable should work ok. You'll have to hook up the T.V. cable to the carb as this replaces the original 350 turbo-hydramatic's vacuum modulator. You'll probably have to have the driveshaft shortened, too.

  3. If a '77 Cutlass is the downsized platform, then the crossmember out of a newer Cutlass would do it, like an 84-85-86, most came factory with the 200R4 by then. Even if it's not, the crossmember might work just the same. I'm not sure there's any difference in trans length 200R4 to TH350, but same deal on the driveshaft if there is, take that from your donor too.
