I have a 1935 Ford 1 1/2 ton truck that used to be a Texaco gasoline truck. The only usable parts are the grill and cab, and they are in decent shape to build a kool hot rod out of. I am undecided as to what style I want to build it, as in '40s, '50s, or '60s. I have been considering doing a '60s style show rod type truck with a heavy Pierson coupe style chop. I would love to see some pictures of fenderless, chopped, and hot rodded '35-'37 Ford trucks. I know the '37 and '38 cabs are different than the '35-'36, but they are very similar. Please no full fendered, or unchopped trucks. I want to go radically low woth it, and need some inspiration. My friend and I would like to get jumping on it and drive it to Viva Las Vegas in March behind my shoebox.
When I say '60s style show rod, I want to see some trucks with mouthed front and rear ends, canted quads, crazy grilles, and wild wheel/tire combos. Crazy panel paint, scallops. I have seen a lot of coupes and roadsters like this, but I want to see some trucks done up this way...THANKS HAMBERS
Question: is the body on the Ford 1 1/2 ton the same as on the 1/2 ton pickup of those years? Can you post a pic of your new ride-to-be? Dave
The turkey is coming out of the oven in twenty minutes, but the idea of a Pierson Pickup was too cool to ignore. So, quick and dirty:

[ QUOTE ] [/ QUOTE ] Anybody have a better picture of this black, hooded, hiboyed, truck? The pic came out blurry, but from what I can see, I want EXACTLY that!!!!! Holy ****, I'm in love!
Hay, Klaz! That one cool looking pickup! What can you tell us about it? How much chop? How much channel? Wheelbase changes? etc. Do you have any more pictures?
