I does sound like you've had a tough year, but it also sounds like you've been a good father. Hopefully you elbow will not interfere with your dream of racing your car. I wish you all the best...:)

Celebrated the first anniversary of living in a small town in January, started my first small business in March, bought a much needed MIG welder in July, and finally snagged a '26 T touring for a future project in October. All in all a pretty decent year!

Got fired (layed off, they call it), after 25 yrs. One hour later I was blessed with another job at a different company. Now, I've never been a big "believer" in the big guy in the sky.....BUT, I'm learning! In a day when jobs are very hard to come by, I am very lucky to have found employment so quickly. Thank-you, up there ^^^. There had to be something to it. I was as low as I could go, and then, Something saved me. I love life. I'm thankful for all I have, and all my friends(including you HAMB folk), and my family. It turned out to be a good year. Its all been good after all. Now... I think...I believe!

    Awww! Yay!
This made me feel all special and stuff! :D

I am obviously a bad H.A.M.B. member since this is like my..fifth post or something. But...I plan to change that in the coming year. So, in that spirit, I am gonna add my greatest thing of 2009...Was probably Christmas. Or, Maybe I'm just still reeling cause it was 3 days ago...But my entire immediate family (all 3 Cassatta daughters, their father <FANG>and their respective mates) got together at my new apartment, and we got along famously. It was wonderful!
Here is to a great 2010 for everyone!
    Happy New Year!

I have my daughter and grandson living locally after having been in hawaii for 6 years. I was able to pull off the First annual Ponoco drag lodge reunion; the track has been closed since 1972. We spruced up the grounds, put up some signs and hoped the folks would come and they did!! The good Lord gave us the best weather day of the year. I'm blessed and am one lucky son of gun for all of the good friends and experiences this year. I made many new friends at the drag lodge, and wouldn't have been able to pull the event off without them!!!

    Life is grand

Well, 2009 was full of ups and downs for me, but the ups far outweigh the downs.

I was married in January to the best gal in the whole world. She's been right there with me for the last 3 years and for some reason she keeps hanging around. I love her to pieces.

Over the summer I adopted my wife's daughter so we could all be one happy family. Its probably one of the few things I've done in my lifetime that made me feel like I did a very good thing.

My youngest daughter Julianna had a good year. She's been steadily gaining weight although at 18#12oz is still really small for an 18 month old girl. But she is now off all medication and the doctors have given her a clean bill of health.

Of course I'm grateful to still have a job and a roof over my head. Its been a very rough couple of years but we are still hanging in there. I feel bless because I know a lot of people are far worse off than I am.

Last year was the worst year of my life this has been a come back year for me in every way. I have to thank my Mom and Fiance and family on both sides without the help of family none of what I have become or achieved would have been possible!

    > I am employed
    >purchased and have actually used a tattoo machine
    >proposed to my fiance and she said yes
    >knocked up said fiance
    > bought a house

    Hell of a year.

I had a rough year, the worst of it was loosing my son. The best as far as the car goes, seeing my avitar in the September Amusin' Kruisin'. Guess it falls a little short.

2009 was a pretty good year....have a lot to be thankful for...family is healthy and happy...thats the most important. Car wise, we had 18 paid events, ran a all time best 6.36 at 218 in our Screamin Eagle nostalgia funny car. Got three cars finished. More importantly, got to spend a lot of time with some very good friends. That said, the single biggest highlight for me was the Thompson Gasser meet in Ohio. Winning the AA/GS class was neat. We weren't the fastest, but at the end of the day, we where in the winners circle! My crew and co-driver Fred Bear did a fantastic job. It was neat to be a part of..!
