There is a roller frame, no grill, hood, interior, sterring, glass or gauges. The cab is rough the fire wall is cut in the lower middle, lower doors are rusty and the front cowel is sperated fron the cab area, mabe patch panel will get close to where it needs to be. The dash is present and the fenders are long gone. It will take alot of tree cutting to remove but shouldn't be to hard. I think this is worth the 100 bones for the frame and suspension. Any input would be great.

sorry, wifes' out of town with the camera, so I took the polaroid. My buddy is gonna go back in the morning and snap some with his camera and I'll be glad to post some pics.

What would be the first move once I get it home....
I mean what should the first thing I start looking to do. Box the frame and all that jazz?

And can I use the stock front end and drop it that way?

Your first move would be to find some direction to take the project. Gather pictures of some 35 pu's and study them. What do you like about each one?... what to you dislike about each one? Spend some time (weeks, months) doing this ...then find your direction. Save money, hone your skills... It's a process.

For god sakes don't jump in the first day you get it home, chop the shit out of it and attach iron crosses from hell to breakfast on it.

  10. Every time I see a post like this I don't understand why it's not "look what I scored for $100 today" ... I've paid more for less. I mean it's not like $100 is that much money anymore, is it?

Sorry, I wasn't very clear, what should remain or can be used from the frame, cross members, rear end. A very mild sbc and 9 in are ready for a build but this is my first 30's model build. I know 63/64 falcons and fairlane but this is another world.

Get it and then do what loudpedal said..... or if its beyond your skill level, clean it up and make a few bucks on it toward a proj that you can do.

Watch the frame as it turns up behind the cab.... they rust bad there. otherwise the chassis is okay as-is for a mild sbc, no need to box unless you're gonna beat on it pretty hard.

Thanks Thats what I was looking for.

  16. It sounds like it'd be a ton of work and/or money to make it resemble a '35 Ford pickup again.

It sounds like it is just parts, at least to me. Is there a title? Most of the parts that you'll need to fix it are going to be the more expensive pieces. If I was interested in building one of these (that year) trucks, I'd buy it but still be looking for something a little more complete. Like was mentioned, you could still turn it over and maybe make a buck.

  19. Hells ya i'd even pay double for that. Sounds like a fun project. I would box the frame rails but that is just me. You don't really need to. I would also do a mild chop as well. Have fun with it man and send us some pics.

  20. From the sound of this thing you could pull one or two parts off it and sell them and have your money back, I mean a buy like that seems like a no brainer to me. Hell there's probably close to $100 there just in scrap metal.

But $100 is only 15 hours or so at minimum wage, and in Michigan it's only 1000 deposit cans, if you don't want to pluck parts off it.

Buy it for $100, and sell it to me for $110. That's a 10% rate of return, bro! No bank would give you that. Deal? :D

Are the original rear radius arms still on the rear axle? They're worth more than that price of the car.

Really?? I gave mine away to George just to have him haul it away. Course, he spent close to that in gas to get over here..... hehe. Win-win there baby!

Oh yeah, to answer the question.....yes, you can get really good quality repos for the lower cowel, rocker panels, rear of the cab, rear cab corners, and door bottoms for that truck. And Macs Antique makes a great bed. I am happy with the Bebops front fiberglass fenders for the 35 PU, but not other fenders I have bought from them.

    Here is mine.

I think that would be a lot of fun. My son built a old truck from just a cab and loved it.
