I would like to know also.Have a 37 Dodge and would like to keep the stock axle but the front sits a little high for my likeing.
Fatman doesn't have the stuff for all the 37-38 Mopars- it depends on exactly what you're working on- and they're not all the same anyway as some were straight axle, and others were IFS. I asked them (Fatman) about dropped spindles for my '38 Chrysler- which is not on their list- and they said that if I sent them a stocker to use as a model, they'd custom-make dropped ones for me, and then they'd have the measurements and would be able to make more for other folks in the future. I can't recall the price they quoted, but I was impressed at the time that it was only slightly higher than their other "in-stock" dropped spindles.
Fatman here. The 37-38 Mopars, and any car with an axle must use a dropped axle or modified springs to lower it. Dropped uprights (for Independent Front Suspension-IFS-)are used on cars that retain a kingin with their Spindles. Dropped spindles are used for a one piece spindle with a ball joint type IFS. It can get confusing. Think about a MII for the 3738 car. We can handle most any MOPAR with the different options.
I'd check a company called Plydo. all they deal in is vintage Plymouth and dodge parts. Its where we got the 3in drop axle for my dads 33 dodge coupe. there # is 304-475-3245
