I'm molding my stainless headlight rings to my fenders on my 53 chevy. They are a little smaller in diameter than the fender, so I split the seam, and was going to weld them to the fenders, and fill the gap at the bottom with cut out pieces from donor headlight rings, then smooth and polish the welds to preserve the stainless edge. The problem is I can't find 309s mig wire in spools any smaller than 35 lbs. another problem is that I have never welded anything that thin, and these rings aren't getting any cheaper. So, I'm just gonna do what I hate to do and farm it out to someone with a tig welder, that knows how to use it....Anybody have any reccomendations? Thanks, Greg
