Thats a nice looking wheel. How does it stack up for price against the Radir ?

I believe they are way cheaper, but I don't think they offer any narrow ones.

What do you consider narrow? I,m looking for some 5 1/2 or 6 inch wide wheels.

I really like those wheels but I wish they came in sizes smaller than 7 inches for front runners. I had to look for a while to find someone who even made a 6 inch Astro Supreme for the bubbletop....

  14. Why is it you call and have to wait. I bought some door kits from Hoffman group and waited three weeks they took the money but didnt tell me they were back ordered.

yeah, cragar needs o expand the sizing. I'd wouldn't wait for Radir either.

Funny, I also considered ordering a set of those new Cragars with the painted spokes, but they are too wide to look good as a front wheel (on my application).
The price is definitely good, though!

Went with a set of Team III wheels instead....

I don't see what the big deal was. The guy was actually upfront about it. He needs to know what his costs are before he can sell them. And it's a quality product made in the USA. I appreciate his being upfront and not doing like a lot of people would do and take your money.

Have them narrowed! Wheel Works Burlington, NJ 609-387-4488 Tim Smith. Tim does quality work and will narrow, widen, repair damaged steel and aluminum wheels and is very fair with his pricing. He will also do motorcycle wheels. Tell him "Sting-Ray Joe" the "Italian Sculpter" sent you!

It didn't sound like he knew for sure wether they were gonna be higher priced or not. BUt with shipping and everything going through the roof it's more likely than not. There has been a ton of talk on a ton of forums about some of the Cragars still being US made and some of them not. I saw one thread recently where a guy got some 17" SS's and the were made in China. If they're that cheap that's where my bet is going. Seems Cragar doesn't want to answer the question. And I know the company changed hands in '08 as well.

  27. does anybody know for sure that radirs and team 3s arent imported?
that might explain the lead time.

What makes anyone think that just becasue they are made in China that the quality is inferior to those made in the US? Having just got back from over there a LOT of the companies are stepping up their quality control. Just another little fact, its the Chinese unit of GM that is keeping the comapny afloat.......

Now has anyone thought to write Cragar asking for smaller sizes? Maybe an email with this thread linked to it?
