Price 26-27 T Coupe doors than ask yourself if you want to cut the tops off them?

I'm putting a '27 tub cowl and doors on a coupe back half. The bodies were pretty much garbage, I don't think I would have chopped up a good one. I like the swoopy look, no jowl line behind the doors.

I definitely second that. one I think the T coupe
body is cool and nowadays, rarer and harder
to find then T roadster body. If it were mine,
I'd build it just the way it is, You see lots of
T roadsters, but hardly any rodded T coupes.
If you really want a roadster, sell or trade
the body for what you want. You can always
cut down a coupe body into a roadster -
that's probably what happened to a lot of
them over the years and one reason why
they're so scarce now. But you cant ever
make a roadster into a coupe, or go back
to a coupe once you've cut the roof off
of one. If you'd rather have a roadster,
for sure there's someone out there who
there wants a coupe and will pay or trade
    with you to get one.

coupes a coupe, roadster is a roadster. sure people have made good looking roadsters out of coupes, but those are rare occurances. i wouldnt do it unless the roof needed extensive work and it needed doors or something.. dont fuck up a perfectly good coupe, sell or trade it for a real roadster, no substituting a coupe for the real mccoy.

If you search the classifieds here you'll find all kinds of roadster bodies and few coupes. Take the advice of the majority - sell it and get a roadster. Coupster- no way. If I lived closer I'd swap you a roadster for your coupe any day.

Well, guys, I've been tin hunting for nearly half a century, over four provinces, the NWT, and eight states, and I have NEVER seen a complete roadster body that was worth picking up. I have a few coupes, and know where there are dozens of them. The prairie weather probably steered most buyers away from open cars back in the day. Although there are some tub bodies around, they were the cheapest family car, I guess. Most have been chopped into trucks, too.

I say do what ever you want. You already own it. Chop it off and sell the roof parts to someone on E-pay.

  16. I've never been a fan of the T's too boxy looking for me..it'd be hard for me to cut one up thats in good shape but in my opinon it'd look better as a roadster..but it's your car dude do what you want and make a bitchin' ride

I wouldn't turn one into a roadster, but I'd turn one into a sport coupe with a folding top... On a Whippet frame with 303 Rocket power, LaSalle trans, Olds Rear.... Hmmm maybe my next project.. I've got it all except the T Coupe..

This car in coupe version is probably on my top 10 list of all time!!! It looks really nice as a roadster too so yes it can be done.

I wish my T coupe body was that good and had doors, too.
I've got a glass T roadster body with an interior, half cage, seats and floor I'd trade you for that. Mine even has paint on it.

I've wanted a T or A coupe for so long. So everytime I see a post like this, it really pisses me off!

P.S. Matt Seret's T looks killer in both versions.

My vote is leave it as a coupe. I'm doing an A sport coupe into a roadster. (started with a 31 butchered rear. cut off doors and a 28 roadster cowl) A lot of extra and expensive work can be avoided by starting with a roadster.
