I vote: Chris Casny's coupe and Dave York's shoebox ( if it was finished 2009? )

Both top notch and traditional style.

    Kenny.

    Can we get some clarification?

Normally this type of contest (i.e. "...of the Year") means for cars that were completed and/or revealed for the first time in calendar year 2009, correct? Not just a car you happened to see in 2009? Just wanted to be sure.

Put me down for the 9th vote on Ian's chevy(Since were talkin this year), that car look's like it rolled out of the little books of the 50's. perfect lines in every way..not overdone and traditional.

You can't forget Norwell's deuce pick up. It has EVERYTHING a hot rod should have; an amazing history, chopped, channeled, hemi, 3 pedals, slicks, etc. Here is a lousy pic...

We saw a lot of killer Hot Rods this year but my favorite is Ron Myer’s ’39. If you hadn’t
got the chance to hear it your missing out. Very kool Hot Rod.

My Kustom of the year Nominee....Kustom 7777's xshoebox. It was kool to watch him
build this project through out the year and it has to be by far one of the most modified
cars ever. I know that it is not finished but I think that it is deserving as is. Next year
when he finishes it he can win it again....

Thanks for including the HAMB in your build process I've enjoyed it.

    Happy Trails,

    Mick

Norwells Truck. (Blood , Sweat and tears) The pictures don't show it. This truck has real balls, right back to 1956 when it had a brand new 354 in it . Not only a show truck that appeared at every car show from upstate N.Y. And every major show in ontario and quebec. When it wasn"t being shown it raced at the local track. and he drove it. Many people thought Jeff should put it back to the way it was in the 50"s.I new the original builder, he would have been overwhelmed. He wouldn"t have wanted it any other way.But the way it is.....Jeff"s Way. I"ve known this car from the start. It"s got scads of history and Jeff has made History with it again. I hope this truck never dies. This truck has outstanding workmanship. You need to see it to believe it.This build has passion. Like Jeff and his builder buddy (neil candy) This car reaches out at you.

I have to agree with BadBob (scary thought): slddnmatts merc is my vote for custom of the year. I also put my money where my mouth is: after seeing what he started with, I had him do my 51 merc build. He's the real deal.

    What?
This is my car. I built it myself, its all steel, powered by a blown 409 and sports a dragmaster chassis.
