Amazing movie.

There is a drive-in theater in Elizabethton that used to have a benefit carshow/movie once a year. The first time I went, I was about eleven or so, and they showed this movie. Amazing being there, watching this movie on a drive in screen among a slew of old-cars. It was also the first trip my dad and I made in his new ride -- his '34. Awesome memory!

 

After a Minnesota SRA parking lot car show in St. Paul, a bunch of us decided to storm a local theater that was showing AG. We planned it so that the parade of cars, all street rods and customs, would be cruising in front of the theater just as the patrons were leaving the show. From every direction there were these old hot rods just like they had seen on the big screen. It was unreal, and is remembered as part of the history of MSRA. What a night!! I just wish we had pictures of it, nobody thought to bring a camera. Those were the days.

 

Hey, Kiwi Kev, I am cruising to El Mirage this year, 2014, and wondered if you accept visitors to that bitchin garage where all sorts of magic are performed. I will be driving my '32 roadster from San Antonio and would really like to chew-the-fat about rods.
