:) I'm with you on this and understand why .Take some pictures of the mounts , manifolds, ect. I believe you can do it. Thats the way most of my projects get started, using what I have on hand and somebody telling me it won't work. It makes me mad ,so I have to show them different. I never was good at playing ,follow the leader.

Back in the day when we swapped Y Blocks into stuff, we never had any motor mount issues. The mounts from other Ford V8s all bolt on and fit the chassis. There are no hard issues on this one. Out of one chassis and into another (except front mount trucks - then you need to scrounge a bit).

"...I will not buy another engine for the Fairlane. The Engine is the Y-Block. Y-Blocks Forever. I have it. It's mine. You can't have it. Whose is it? Mine, and where's it going? Fairlane. 1963 Fairlane. Did that ever have a Y-Block? No. Will it? And I stress this: Yes.
    Yes..."

I doubt you'd have to repeat yourself this much if the responders to your post would bother to read the whole thread.

What do you say, folks? How about giving Flying Jester the benefit of the doubt? There's more involved here than Car A and Engine B.

I really shouldn't have to repeat myself so much...but I end up doing it a lot.

One more thing: Does anyone know what kind of gear ratio was in the old T-Birds with the Y-Blocks? Or an F-100 (like the kind I got, I think it is a 1960, I don't know exactly. I'm gonna tow it tomorrow) Or a Galaxie? I need to know if I can use the gears in the Fairlane.
