I hope no one drive too far to go to this. I was in South Carolina on business last month so decided to take a ride down. Very disapointed!
Hey, thanks for the kind words. Unfortunately, I can't control the weather--The Weather Channel told everyone for a whole week that it was going to snow... guess what? Not only didn't it snow, but it was blue skies from 10:30 on. One vendor showed up, and about twenty spectators trickled in over the course of the whole morning, until I left at 1:00pm. Every one of those guys that showed up got a free p*** for the next time they came back. So not only did I lose my *** on advertising, port-a-johns and insurance, plus my and my wife's time out there freezing from 5:30am, but I will also lose money on all those people that redeem their free p***. If the free p*** wasn't good enough for you, then the hell with ya. -Brad
It never seems to amaze me how one person can let one trip to a cool swap meet destroy their outlook on it. And then too, how they can trash it publicly when they live so far away, and don't get to experience it when it's really alive. FORDRAT, i beg of you to come back when the weather is better and then try to say that again. I bet you won't. But for what it's worth, maybe you should just stay up there in the land of "Hershey" where you have to fight to get parts at the swap meet.
My first visit was on the Nov. Sunday 09 . I drove the 39 over to check it out . It was a little slow ,they said there were a lot more people there on Saturday. Even though it was a little slow on Sunday ,I had a great ride out and I didn't come back empty handed. I even hit some great antique shop's on the way back home. I'm gonna try to head back out Saturday to help build this thing up and show some support . Thanks to Brad for trying to give us a great local event.
And YOU are exactly why I put on this show. Thank you very, very much for the support. When something isn't making money, the support of friends, good people and a good time is the reason you keep doing it. -Brad
Taylor, See if you can talk John (speedsterinc) into coming up tomorrow- I'll call him too. PS- Your BBQ is fantastic!
hahaha.....fingers crossed you don't make it again! Anyone still boiling bratz? or do i have to come down and bring my own?
Dude!!! I'm on the other end of the country, so, I don't have a dog in this fight. But, that is some funny **** right there.
Actually, Stevie saw an opening and took it--my food vendor packed up his tent, so Stevie stepped in and has been boiling bratz The Wisconsin Way. But don't let that stop you--I'll host a damn Brat Cook Off if you come down! -Brad
