Recessed Firewalls. Lets see pictures

    I am getting ready to recess the firewall in the coupe and wanted to see what others have done.

    How far back did you set yours?
    I was thinking 1 1/2 to 2 inches would work for me.
    just enough to set the engine back and get a fan on the front of it with a new radiator

    I did 2.5 inches,plenty of room.

    Heres a shot of mine in the 48'.Used a steel wheel barrow tub. Works pretty well.

    I was gonna mention using a wheelbarrow tub. They work pretty good for most engines. Wide 'n deep.......

    YUP,used a wheel barrel a couple times,you can buy the cheap tubs cut them in half and use the square or round side,the round side sorta looks like a tomb stone though:cool:
